True bible believing, born again Christians, Will you answer Desert Rose's question?

Your Question

True bible believing, born again Christians, Will you answer Desert Rose's question?

I ask a question and Desert Rose follows me and says the same stuff over and over again. Are you a born again christian? Do you believe this stuff?

Desert Rose's answer:

Mainstream christians believe the children that died in Sodom are been tortured in hell by Jesus Christ...so Jesus is torturing children...if that is not weird I dont know what...What they believe rejecting certain parts of their own bible is not important

Here is a link to my question

Update:

sorry, it wont let me do the link. Just check my profile under questions. Thanks and God Bless.

Not at all, never heard of this in my life. I believe Jesus Christ came on this Earth to save human kind from our sins and set us free so that we can all have eternal life and have a relationship with God! John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave he gave his one and only son that whoever believe in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

    Broken record here-

Sodom and Gomorrah (and Admah and Zeboiim, and Zoar which was spared at Lot's request) were NOT being punished for homosexuality.

See Deuteronomy 29:23 and Ezekiel 16:48.

Also read Genesis 14 for some background info on these cities.

They were completely, mercifully instantaneously incinerated. Lot's wife *went* back and was turned into a *memorial* of salt. This memorial lasts today.

I have seen the video of desert gazelle licking up the salt of the dead, who were so thoroughly burned all that is left is their minerals.

Since Satan will be thrown into the lake of fire and eternally tormented, I'm not seeing how he's going to be tormenting anyone in "Hell" (Hades, Sheol), which is *emptied* then thrown into the lake of fire along with death. "This is the second death," Revelation 20:14.

Yahshuah *will* be the judge at the Judgment.

How in the world is He going to judge against babies? That makes no sense at all.

    Bless up.

    Edited to add:

    Do JW's preach Hell?

I knew some JW's a few years ago and they agreed with me that there is no scriptural proof of eternal torment.

I cant seem to find this question. But here is an honest answer.

Jesus does not torture anyone in hell. Hell is the grave, for one. The lake of Fire, is the 2nd death after judgement, and the scriptures clearly read the types of people that will 'not' inherit life with him. Babies and children are not apart of that number.

In order to get a full and accurate understanding of scripture- you must study, you must pray, you must come with an open and receptive heart- than you will see a lot more clearly. We, are ever-learning. no one knows "everything." But, the character of God, is not to torture children and babies. that is not the heart of God.

add: Desert Rose, you are bringing adult people, making adult decisions into this equation. people live their lives how they choose to- there is no getting around that. that includes you, that includes me.

The children anywhere would have to be of the age of accountability before they would be sent to Hell, if they are old enough to realize that choosing not to believe in God would send them to Hell. Before this age, they are taken to Heaven because they are innocent of their parent's wrong doings. I believe that the age of accountability is not a specific age, but rather depends on the maturity of the child and what they know about the belief in God. Some children know this earlier than other ones because they are presented with that knowledge at an earlier age.

To answer Desert Rose honestly, I have to say that I have never met ANYONE who claims that Jesus is torturing little Sodomite children. We need to take care with Desert Rose, because as she claims she is college educated, English is NOT her first language, so perhaps there is some miscommunication going on.

Desert Rose said this, ""age of accountability???? where is that in the bible ....verse please??"

Rose, there is NO VERSE in the bible. This is strictly Watchtower terminology used in this context, babe.

"There is a lesson in this for all Christian parents. Start early in life to inculcate in your children faith in Jehovah God. Help them to appreciate and to understand that Jehovah is a real person who hears and answers prayers. Teaching children about prayer from infancy will contribute much toward their becoming God-fearing when they reach the age of accountability." (WT 6/1/80 pg. 17 par. 3)

He is so obnoxious that I normally avoid him. He also goes by " Higher love"..LOL

He is so much into WTS teachings that he thinks he can lie in the name of WTS.

I have this answer by him too. Of course we do not believe that the children will be tortured in hell by anyone. It is JWs who believe that children do not make it to heaven if they die and maybe not even to their earthly paradise. They believe that Jesus will kill unbelievers of their teachings, and he gets help form the angels. Then after that they clean up the paradise earth and live there forever. They do not even want to go to heaven, because they are conditioned to think that heaven is only for 140 000 anointed class Christians

Desert Rose is lost and we can ignore his obnoxious answers, but we indeed should pay for him. He does not know what he is doing

desert rose: If mainstream Christians believed that Jesus tortured the children than I'm barrack obama and I'm not! The souls of the children of Sodom and Gomorrah was taken out of their earthly bodies, and Welcomed into Heaven before any fire from the sky hit.

That is NOT truth. The three days Jesus was in the grave before His resurrection He descended into hell to set the captives (those who had gone to hell BEFORE Jesus' time and we given the gospel.

Jesus doesn't torture anyone. People who end up in hell are tortured by the fact that they rejected their creator and the fact that they are eternally separated from the love of God which they could have had.

  • 1 decade ago

No true Bible believing person actually believes children are being tortured in hell. Children are not accountable for their actions. That's why we have to reach an "age of accountability" in order to accept Christ.
