iChat connection problems!?

Ok so my ichat has been working fine (not rele, video chat problems, but thats another issue). I am using another wireless connection (different place), which is much slower, possibly dial-up or DSL, but firefox is loading pages within 30secs. whenever i try to connect on ichat (open it, or change to available it gives me the error "host refused connection, please try again later". Is this an issue with ichat, the internet connection or something else, and how to fix it, thanks
