No, I didn't. But we usually use the Garfield method and leave it up until all the needles fall off anyway.

Christmas Eve was for some years the classic and correct time to beautify a Christmas tree. "The Twelve Days of Christmas " ran from Christmas Day (evening) to the night meal of the Epiphany, on Jan 6th (Morning), so Christmas Eve grew to become into the "training" day. and yule decorations have been taken down late on Jan 5th or on the 6th. the financial pushing of Christmas previously has tended to bypass forward tree and domicile adorning, and an better emphasis on New 300 and sixty 5 days advise a great style of folk in recent times. take their Christmas decorations down till now any New 300 and sixty 5 days's party. (community customs selection.) So Christmas Eve is positive. yet "undesirable luck" is merely superstition after all, and does not belong in a Christian or a mundane Christmas!

It's bad luck to leave up a (live) tree that is all dried up and the needles are falling off. It's called a fire hazard.

No it's bad luck to leave it up after the 12th day of Xmas.
A suitable superstition given most of Xmas (including the tree) is non-christian in origin! :)

I would never dream of taking my tree down before 12th night (5th January). It used to be customary to leave decorations up much longer than that, into February even.
