Why are humans so destructive and cruel, and we don't give a crap about anything that is really important?
Why aren't people happy these days? They are temporarely happy that's it! It would be so easy if they would see things with a different point of view, and see as everything as something that happens and that they need to keep going, right? Do you think that An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth should be applied for justice to really occur?
We. humans. Are the smartest human beings alive on earth? Killing each other? Killing our own people? I don't see that happening with animals, don't we have any sense?!! Lust, and other stuff... hmmmm

well my dear, I certainly hope that we humans are the smartest human beings on earth, but then, who's to say. I agree that people should be able to find peace and joy within, however, a lot of people shirk from things like faith and God, and that is why there is so much unrest. I hope you find yours! because are parents generation was raised a lot differently with different surroundings than the norm for the world and it has made them greedy and degenerate (in most cases) so are superegos (parents) are bringing us up the same way
