Basic PS3 questions ?
I just got a PS3 for Christmas, and I have a couple of questions regarding it. One, I already tried it, but is there any way to run PS2 games on it? And second, can you install an external drive or anything to speed up its internet surfing speed?
by the way, if this question has been asked a million times, sorry

If you have one of the newer models, it may never play ps2 games.
You can install an external hard drive, but it must be formatted to fat32

Backwards Compatibilty (playing PS1 and PS2 games) varys by each model, so it depends on which model you have.
If its the 80 GB with only 2 USB ports, then it does not play PS2 games. If you got the 80 GB with 4 USB ports, then you're in luck.
For speeding up your internet, I dont think the PS3 will recognize any external devices for doing so.

the only way you can play a ps2 game is if you have an 80 gig.
and no for the second question.

1: There's no way unless you have a 60GB, 20GB, or old 80GB. But they have all been discontinued.
2: You can connect an external hard drive to it, but I don't see any way it would speed up web surfing.
