Is it OK to have beer after a good meal?

If I have a beer or 2 before a meal I find it difficult to eat. But I do not have much of a problem to have a beer after a good meal. Is this practice ok, or is it harmful in any way to the body?

    It won't hurt you at all and sometimes people do that to finish off a meal.
