East better than West now?

don't measure the strength of a conference on the fact that the Lakers lost 4 games to Eastern teams. if that's the case, Boston lost 3 games to Western teams (including Golden State last night)...now what?

i think the balance of power has finally evened out.

there are good AND bad teams in BOTH the East and the West...but the East isn't so good that you can go and say they are better than the West.

When the Western conference was lauded as being better, the only real truth was that most of the good big men in the league were on western conference teams...and believe it or not, that makes a difference. that's all there was to it.

now, things are more balanced than they were in those years.

currently, there are 9 Western conference teams above .500.

by comparison.....

there are only 6 Eastern conference teams above .500.

currently, the West has 6 teams over .600

by comparison....

the East has 4 teams over .600

so, is the East really better than the West? maybe...maybe not.

i know one thing...the All Star game is NOT an indicator as to which conference is better.

If the ultimate suited 18 group appropriate now makes the play-off there could be like 12 west communities --the east tops have greater effective information than the west tops through fact they face each east group 3 to 4 situations and west communities 2 situations and the east have like 7 of the ten worst communities interior the Nba-- west is a lot batter than east

Realistically the only teams you would put money on are Lakers, Celtics and the Cavs. 2 from East, 1 from West. Top to bottom, East is probably the better conference right now. East only have 1 really bad team. West have about 5 bad teams.

I think East will win the All Star game as well.

KG, LeBron, Dwight, AI, Wade. Too good.

As of now I can see the East got a lot tougher now than the Western Teams.. Cavs, Celtics, Orlando and Even the Hawks can really be a tough contender that can compete for the ring this year.. But the West really got a deep chemistry to win against the East..

No way!!! If you go to the official NBA website, all of the teams in the West that are top 8 seeds are above .500 and in the East, the 7th and 8th seeds are under .500!!!!

If you had put thosetwo teams in the West they would definitely not make the playoffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The East only has three good teams, which are beating-up on all the other weak Eastern teams.

I wouldn't count the west out yet.

Espeically the Jazz, they've had soo many injuries this season, it's hard to keep a good record when most of your star players have been injured at some point this season.

The spurs also didn't have parker and ginobili for a while.... defense wins championships... Spurs play great D.

I agree, the East is more powerful, plays better defense, and yes we'll have more all stars too. Lebron, Wade, Howard,Paul,Bosh,KG they'll all be in the all stars game this year an more.
