Why do they call it the Eastern Seaboard but not the Western Seaboard, only the West Coast?

    because the spanish colonies first arrived at the eastern seaboard and established it as the boarding seas between europe and america. No one arrives from the western seaboard.

    because western seaboard sounds stupid.

    beside, West Coast just sounds good (don't it?)

    just like how they say back east, up north, down south and OUT WEST. The phrase Out West sound like an advernture or something?

    It sounds more exciting then all the rest.
