Is there a law In Pennsylvania that allows you to break a contract?
My husband and I just moved to pittsburgh for his new job and I signed a leasing contract on Monday the 22nd. My husband never signed the lease even though his name was on the contract, he was going to sign it after christmas. On Wedensday the 24th we found out that his new job fell through. I had signed the contract less that 48 hours before. They said they would let us out of the lease but they will not give us our $100 security deposit or $800 first months rent back. In Michigan we have a law that allows you to break any contract within three days and recieve a full refund. Is there a law like that in Pennsylvania?

I'm not from Pennsylvania, nor Michigan, but I can tell you there is no such law in either state.
The three day law you are referring to applies only to door-to-door sales, and certain home financing contracts. It does not apply to residential leases.
The $100 deposit and $800 sounds reasonable. I'd take that offer. Be sure you get the agreement in writing.

Are you on an X month or a month to month lease?
Generally no.
