How do I deal with a childish sister-in-law.?
Okay,
My sister-in-law is making my life a living hell. She is a 25 year old woman who acts like a 3 year old. For two years I have let her walk all over me and throw her little temper tantrums because she is my husbands sister and I didn't want to upset her.
First of all let me give you some background information. My in-laws have done everything for her and her husband. They bought them a house and paid to have the whole thing redone, they pay their house payments, they pay her car insurance, and pay for all of their food; they also paid for all of her schooling. My sister-in-law and her husband have no jobs, and she has dropped out of nursing school because she said a teacher didn't like her and failed her just because of that. They spend any money they get on guns, ammo, dogs, and electronics. They are waiting to file bankruptcy in October.
My husband and I both work fulltime jobs and have paid off all of our debt since we got married. His sister is always asking us for money or laying guilt trips on us, or his parents are always asking us to give money to his sister. A few weeks ago my sister-in-law through a huge temper tantrum, she started yelling at me about how huge a ***** I was and how she never wanted to see me again. Well I couldn't take it anymore, I stood up for myself and told her what a ***** she was and to never talk to me again if she was going to act like that.
Well now she is demanding that I appoligize, I don't want to do that because I don't feel that I was wrong and that if I do appoligize she will continue to walk all over me. She is now telling her mom and dad that I threw tent stakes at her, that I called her a ***** first, and that I woke up her daughter by yelling. When in fact, her daughter wasn't even sleeping, she playing with her great grandmother, and she was the one who started the whole thing by calling me a ***** in the first place. I don't want to fight with her but am sick of her mind games. She has done this all her life and is a constant liar. When she gets caught in a lie she just makes up another one. My husbands parents believe everything that comes out of her mouth, and that she is perfect. They treat my husband like he doesn't exist, and nothing he does is important. At just 22 years old he is a member of the military, is serving his country, is married, and is debt free. All things that I believe are great accomplishments, and non of which they recgonize. Someone please help me, I am so miserable.
What do I do?
3 AnswersFamily1 decade agoIs there a law In Pennsylvania that allows you to break a contract?
My husband and I just moved to pittsburgh for his new job and I signed a leasing contract on Monday the 22nd. My husband never signed the lease even though his name was on the contract, he was going to sign it after christmas. On Wedensday the 24th we found out that his new job fell through. I had signed the contract less that 48 hours before. They said they would let us out of the lease but they will not give us our $100 security deposit or $800 first months rent back. In Michigan we have a law that allows you to break any contract within three days and recieve a full refund. Is there a law like that in Pennsylvania?
