MilkScreen test strips?
Does anyone know if like Walgreen's or sells the Milk-screen test strips? I would like to have a glass of wine on new years and want to make sure there is nothing in my breast milk before feeding my daughter again.
I'm not asking for your opinion on weather you think it's right or not so if you have nothing nice to say don't reply.
Thanks in advance to those who help.
Happy New Year!
I know you can order them off the internet, I just wanted it in time for New Years.

Babies r us sells them. They do show if there is alcohol but at the Breastfeeding support group I go to, some women have tried tehm just tp test it and it showed positive even when they hadn't been drinking. They've also never been tested by any clinic other then the company that makes them. It's probably just best to wait at least 3 hours before nursing again. Thats what I do. I have used the strips but I don't think they are very reliable.

I've never seen them at Walgreen's. I've only seen them at Babies R Us.
How old is your daughter?
If she's older and it's only one glass then you'd be fine even without the strips. But if she's a newborn or you want to enjoy yourself a little more then definitely get some strips.

Milkscreen is available at Babies R Us stores. You can also go to www.Milkscreen.com to see if there are other stores near you that sell Milksreen.
Milkscreen will be availalbe in Walgreens later in January 2009.

NO need to according to LLL and LCs everywhere if you are able to nurse after a glass of wine, if you are feeling no effects of the alcohol you can nurse. Sober enough to drive sober enough to nurse!

I have no idea who sells them, but I agree with the others. Save your money. Have your wine. If you can drive, you can nurse.
