I can't stop coughing, any home remedies?

Sorry, the only thing that stops my coughing is codeine (sp?), for which you need a prescription. if you cough up blood, go to the ER

You can try regular (black) tea with honey and lemon or just suck on some honey. The over-the-counter products need dextromethoraphane (sp?), which is also a good cough suppresant. I try keeping my fluids up with hot beverages - tea, coffee, hot lemonade or hot jello - out of a mug.

You can also try taking a steaming hot shower. The steam will help a croup-y cough (like a seal barking)

Its a medical fact that there isnt much you can do to cure a cough, and if you do some research online you will see that most cough medicines cant even do anything for you. Check WebMD.

If you have a chesty cough, where there is mucus, buy Mucinex, it works wonders. If you have a dry cough, the only thing that will really work is a prescription for something with coedine in it.

If you think it's something stuck in your throat, like a hair or piece of food, try eating bread. Syrup with coat the throat, but bread will usually catch whatever is stuck, and pull it down out of the throat.

If there's nothing stuck in there. See a doctor. Could be whooping cough.

coughing that hard can't be good. I would call the doctors office and ask for advice. he may just write a prescription for you to fill without you going in and seeing him. if the cough lasts and lasts go see him. things like TB still exist.

You would have to call the pharmacist to see if there are any drug interactions before you take it but vicodin works as a cough suppressant.

i had a cough like this. i took mucinex for three months, and pulled a muscle on my ribs twice. ugh.

after five months, i found out it was from post nasal drip, and started taking allergy medicine (zyrtec).

um, for a quick fix, hot water with honey and lemon works well.

You can try rinsing your nose out with a sinus rinse or Neti pot.

For the time being, go to a doctor and get an antibiotic. This can lead to acute bronchitis and pneumonia if you are not careful. And this is fatal.

A shot of jack daniels, with honey, and lemon squeezed in it...Then heat it for 10 seconds in the microwave...

I'm not kidding. Look it up online or anything. It cures a cold almost. It's 10x better than nyquil...
