Makeover at nordstrom's or Sephora?
Should i go to sephora or nordstroms to get a makeover?
I like the idea of using different brands like at sephora...
but i hear the artists at nordstrom are better trained?
what is it like at each place?
do they use all different brands or stick to one?

I love getting my makeup done at Nordstrom. Nobody does customer service better than they do, and there is no pressure there either. Also, the makeup artists are trained by the makeup brands they are selling in applying the products and tailoring them to every client. I just go to the counter of the brand I am interested in and ask the artist for help, but you can also call ahead for an appointment. The makeup artists tell me that Tuesday morning is the least busy and is the best time to walk in and get a makeover without an appointment. If you want the artist to use different brands, just ask and he/she will accommodate you.
I am not a fan of Sephora. Their sales assistants are not trained in every single makeup brand the store carries. Some of them are hardly trained at all. I am concerned about the cleanliness of the brushes and products the artists use at the Sephora store where I live. The place looks a mess. Yours might be different. Our store is always packed and the makeup artist is always getting bumped into by customers when doing the makeup. Customers are always standing around staring at the person in the makeup chair too. It isn't for me. I think you will have a better experience at Nordstrom.

Sephora, because Nordstom will use a specific cosmetic line and usually, when you have someone do a makeover, they expect you to buy the product. At Sephora, you can pick and choose and use different brands, plus you can try it for yourself without the cosmo girl in your face. Ulta cosmetics, the same as Sephora setup,
Only use Nordstrom if you want full attention or make an appointment with a particular cosmetic line with a professional makeover attendant.
Keep in mind, that certain cosmetic lines have red, yellow or blue based makeups, ie, I think Bobbie Brown has yellow undertones. I use makeup from all lines, drugstores included. So, don't buy the whole line unless you like it, and don't buy something that needs mixing or custom blended. Unless you have money to burn...

okay i totally suggest sephora becuase think about it do you see all these sample things to use to try on makeup at the store? nope but at sephora they have small brushes to use for smaples therefore you are sure that they will use a new brush on you... but im not sure nordstrom does that!
* and plus sephora is a store just for makeup and im sure they are well trained.. nordstrom has shoes and all these other types... and maybe if u look at it this way a lot of ppl wont see you getting ur makeup done at sephora comapred to all the ppl at nordstrom
