1.Actually really speaking both the teams are not depended on only a single player that,s why they are best clubs in the history of soccer.

Secondly if you see the matches they don't get to play all the matches

the managers have it all.

2. I ll go with barca as messi cannot be marked even with 4 players but for ronaldo only two barca players are enough.

MU is more dependent on ronaldo than barca on messi...barca without messi is always a very good team but manchester without ronaldo not so much...so i think that barca would win against MU with or without messi and ronaldo...

in the end,the answer to the classic question is messi because in my opinion he is better and humble differently from ronaldo

Since you are talking about now rather then last season, I'll have to say that Man Utd should win Barcelona without Ronaldo because Ronaldo hasn't been playing that well this season. Ronaldo was great last season but I've watched nearly all of the Man Utd games this season and they have been winning without a good performance from Ronaldo. Barcelona is on my opinion much more depended on a good performance from Messi, but he is still young and that's the reason for Barcelona not being totally depended on him but still more the Man Utd on Ronaldo.

You know I think we will be OK. I understand what you are saying but the other side is take away everyone else's assists and sacrifice for Ronaldo, take away Ronaldo's penalty kicks (which racked up a fair few easy free goals to his stats) and how does it look then ? Its a team effort. Ronaldo did not do anything on his own and had the benefit of a team built around him. Others will step up and shine now. It may take some adjusting but I never under estimate what my Red Devils can do when they dig deep. He may have done many good things but for all that, he did many bad things too. He gave up a lot of possession because he was show boating or selfish and when he did he would stand there and sulk instead of turning around and trying to regain that lost possession. He doesn't like to defend and gets lazy there too. Others may not attack as effectively to get 40+ goals but they will attack adequately and also will probably be better in the area's he lacks in.

Messi is by far more important to Barcelona than Ronaldo is to United, "yes" United wouldn't have won the double without Ronaldo but if you look at barcelona with Messi, he is VERY important for them , he makes the playd down the wing and so forth, this year all Ronaldo has been doing has been diving and looking for fouls, he hasn't been doing anything, so Barcelona need messi if they want to win.

cause barca could play a 4-4-2 formation with eto'o and henry at the front,if messi is gone... MAn u can change their formation too, but barca is simply more powerful than man u this year...

man u are lacking in the centre of midfield, so Ronald is very important to cover on the wing, but man u have got two good central defenders, which allow their wing backs to push up, and act as wings

so manchester do not rely on Ronald much at all

and Ronaldo has been underpreforming a alot in the last few games, and they have survived without him

but messi is 2 classes above the rest of the barcelona midfield, and they are very reliant on him and dont think they would go very far without him

Manchester Udt never depended on Ronaldo (he's not that good) and Barcelona doesn't depend on Messi (although he's the greatest player of all) because the team is very disciplined and with lots of good replacements. If you knock off Messi you have Eto'o, Henry, Alves, Keita, Hleb, Bojan, ...

i cant answer the with/without who would win without knowing who else is in the starting XI, where they're playing and what kind of form the teams are in.

as far as whos better, right now id say ronaldo because of his tally from last year and the fact that he's a winger and not a forward. they're both young and im sure the answer of 'whos better' will change every year depending on how each team does that season.

Messi is by far the better player, Ronaldo is terrible considering his reputation. His tricks come off about 10% of the time and he usually gets booked fouling the opposing player when they run off with the ball laughing...
