I keep getting email notifications every 40 minutes for the SAME best answer! How can it stop?

It is a systemic problem. Only Y!A can put in the fix

Sorry to break this to you but it's happening to LOTS of us and there is no way for us to opt out of getting those "best answer" notices!! You can't just change your preferences like you can when you decide not to be notified that people answered your question or your contacts asked questions. We're all just stuck with the junk emails.

It's Yahoo Answer's latest glitch. (They get so many here, it's pitiful.) It's happening to lots of us. I logged in this morning and had almost 100 of those best answer messages then another 40 or so rolled in but, as I was wading through them, I found that a bunch are repeats of the 20 or so that I had last night!! Very annoying!!

Now that I logged in again, yes, over 100 email messages all about the same 4 or 5 "best answers" that I've gotten in the last day.

But that's Yahoo for you, they are always having some sort of glitch or other. Welcome to yaHELL. Yahoo doesn't seem to be able to hire competent help or prevent these glitches so I guess we just have to tolerate it until they fix it. YaHELL indeed.

Ugh I feel your pain >:O! I had 38 messages yesterday that said "Congratulations Avery, you have recieved best answer for Hamsters???Christmas is over?" I was just like O_O'' Sorry, unfortunately there's no way to stop the emails flooding in. Just delete all of them. I believe the yahoo peoples are trying to fix this problem. If you can hear this yahoo people, HURRY UP!!!!!!!!

Most email programs have a filter process. You could set it to pick up this particular notice (with something unique to it) and send it to the trash bin automatically.

Then sit back, relax & be glad your in better shape than the YA best answer software.

Now I'm getting no notices for new BA's either.

The same thing is happening to me. For the last day and half as well. Hundreds of the same notification of best answer.

the only thing I can think of is to go into your profile and program it to NOT e-mail you when you get a best answer. Maybe after a day or two of being shut off, it will stop.

~~I reported it early this morning. They are aware of it and are trying to fix the glitch. I am not receiving any new ones I know I've received, nor the points, so I hope they clear and fix this as well.

You too? It's getting really annoying! Someone's asleep at the wheel or partying too hard. Stupid glitches! I marked them all as spam.

just spam them and they will go to your spam folder instead of your inbox. that's what i did.

they are aware of the problem and are trying to fix it.
