MOTORCYCLE Strip LIGHTS AND GLOW TUBES LEGAL OR NOT LEGAL?

Are these street legal? in other words can put this on my motorcycle that i have registered and insured, and ride on the highway, public roads and etc and not get a ticket or anything.

basically id have them over my bike in random spots where my bike would have a glow to it. i wanted to know if this is legal to have or will the cops give me a ticket or so.

and if its illegal, can someone lead me to some type of light modifcation i can make that is legal tyvm

    The lights have to be the right colors in the right spots.

    Red and blue are illegal because cops use these colors, amber and red are good for rear and amber for the front. you can not use white either as it is used in headlights.

    You can not ride with glow lights on the rode as they are a distraction to other motorists. but you can put them all over the bike and you have to be at least 75 feet from the roadway.. thats how it is here in wisconsin.

    now go to your state dmv they can tell you whats allowed and when .

    why the negative reaction to these lights.hidden behind the fairing or under the seat unit can make a bike look that much beter.at least hes not ading a million spot lights like some prats.

    They are not legal in California, which is where I live. Not sure about other states. I know because a bunch of guys in the local hog chapter install them with switches, so when they see a cop, they flip the switch and all their glowie accessories turn off instantly.

    you would have to check your state regulations. Some states make them illegal because the consider them a distraction to other drivers. Just go to the local secretary of state or DMV and ask.
