I want to buy a graphics tablet for my little brother. Advice please!?

Hi everyone - my little brother has finished high school and he's interested in graphic design. I'd like to get him a graphics tablet, something entry level for maybe up to $150 (Aus dollars). Does anyone know a good quality option for my budget? like I said, it's entry level, enough to help motivate him to learn more and study further. Thanks

Update:

Yeah I have heard that the Wacom Bamboo is a good option - at 4x5 inch it's small but for a beginner I guess it's good enough!

i'd recommend buying the biggest Wacom bamboo tablet you can get within your price range. Bamboo tablets are for beginners while intous and cintiqs are for pros. it is important that you get a decent sized one as it makes it easier to use. i started out with a 3x4 inch graphire a few years ago before the Bamboo series came out and found it too small so i upgraded to a cintiq this summer.

if you want to buy a graphic tablet you have to choose a WACOM tablet.

they are the best. With that budget i'm guessing a Wacom Bamboo or a Wacom Graphire
