start eating a banana before you go to bed. You likely lack potassium

not just potassium deficiency - calcium and especially magnesium deficiencies will cause muscle cramping, and dehydration will also cause very painful cramps. Drink more water during the day, get some over-the-counter calcium/magnesium/zinc tablets and take two before going to bed. Eat spinach and nuts for more calcium, and bananas or orange juice for potassium.

Sometimes leg/muscle cramping can be due to a lack of potassium, try eating a banana or drinking some orange juice and see if that helps.

  • Well usually cramps are a because of lack of salt. Perhaps you could try eating saltier foods for a while, or even put more salt on your foods. There is also "Deep Heat" which you rub into your muscles and sore, tender area's that will give you temporary relief. But other than those things, I would see a doctor and ask their opinion. Good luck hun.

potassium deficiency. It also helps to drink water because dehydration causes cramping as well.

I had the same problem, and working out a daily stretching schedule worked for me...morning and evening...that and more exercise...
