I need HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Okay here's the problem. Just here recently we have gotten a really bad flea infestation! I think it was from bringing my big dog into the house without bathing her first. Anyway she gave them to my indoor cats and now their out of control!!! I've bathed and bathed a bathed the cats trying to keep it down, but nothing really seems to work. I would buy flea killer but don't have the money for it right now. Does anyone know what kills fleas??? I've heard Dawn dish soap kills them but it doesn't seem to be doing much for me. What else is there besides flea shampoo?

I'm afraid if you want rid of the fleas you are going to have to spend money, you cant use dish soap on the dog!!! Plus fleas have different lifestages, egg, larva and adult, and each need different things to kill them, you need a treatment that will kill at least 2 lifestages. The best thing to get is a spot-on treatment that goes on the back of the neck, advantage and frontline are the best, you can only get them from the vet...to save money just ask for the prescription then have a look online, you can get them cheap if yuo have a prescription. Bath the animals (dry shampoo the cats if they hate water), use the spot-ons and wash the bedding, hoover the carpets and clean anywhere the animals have access to.

You have to spend money to get rid of them I'm afraid.

STOP BATHING YOUR PET SO MUCH!!!! the shampp only takes care of it for the moment u need to treat ur house and ur pet the same exact day.... i read online to put salt down on ur carpet they eat it and it kills them it doesnt totally solve ur problem but will get it under control.... vacuum couple times a day throw the bag away because they will lay eggs in the vacuum and hatch you have to get some type of flea meds for ur animals the med isnt expensive at all i pay 30.00 a month for frontline and i have a full grown lab and a 10 month pitbull so their not costly....

Well when my cats have fleas we just give them flea stuff to put on them..you can get cheap ones and they stop the cat from getting fleas for about 8 weeks then you do it again.

Contact your local animal shelter and see if they can donate some topical flea treatments. That's the best way to get rid of them.
