Alright, well, I live in Oregon USA and I have a friend over in Perth, Western Australia that I would really like to call! He gave me his number, but I'm not sure how to go about calling it. I mean, I don't know if I need to enter a number or two before I dial the actual number [like here it would be 1-(530)-xxx-xxxx] or if I need to call through an overseas operator. Okay, say you have a Male and a Female dog and you breed them while she is in the peek of her season. She starts to get a little bigger as time goes by, but not much. So you think, oh well. But then she developed Milk and you think you feel a lump in her stomach. And her behavior is becoming different/strange. So you become hopeful again. But... when the time comes... nothing happens!!! No pups are here to cuddle and love. So now you start to think it was a falsie! Because there are no signs...no signs at all that she might have had them... and her behavior starts to go back to normal. Now my questions are... can dogs have false pregnancy's like people? Could it be that one of the two dogs are sterile and her body just thought she was pregnant due to multiple matings? If one of them could be sterile... how would you know which one? would you have to take it to the vet? or is there another way? If anyone can give me a website or something on sterile dogs it would be very helpful. Or just some knowledge. Thank You.

I have been searching and searching and searching for Australian Shepherd owners in my area and cannot find a single one. All I find are toy and mini aussies. Okay, about a month ago my hamster started losing his hair,mostly on his face. It wasn't that bad at first but started progressing as time went on. But now it seems to have gotten REALLY BAD, most of his hair is gone,his skin seems to be a bit red and kinda flaky. I thought it was getting better,he was getting hair back but then it took a turn for the worst. Today his face was swollen and his eye was somewhat popping out,he can't close his eye. I am really worried! I love him very much and don't want to lose him anytime soon. I thought it might be Demodectic mange or something like that but i'm not sure.

If anyone knows if this is the problem then could you please tell me...

is it contagious?

what will cure it???

I would love to be able to take him to the vet but don't have the money right now (due to the economy getting so bad). If you could help that will be great!!! Thank You.

Okay here's the problem. Just here recently we have gotten a really bad flea infestation! I think it was from bringing my big dog into the house without bathing her first. Anyway she gave them to my indoor cats and now their out of control!!! I've bathed and bathed a bathed the cats trying to keep it down,but nothing really seems to work. I would buy flea killer but don't have the money for it right now. Does anyone know what kills fleas??? I've heard Dawn dish soap kills them but it doesn't seem to be doing much for me. What else is there besides flea shampoo?

Or rather, when do you start to see the signs? How long into pregnancy?

I was very shocked to find out about his death a few months back. And since then my family and I have tired to find out how. I have a 2 year old Female Blue Merle Australian Shepherd. I have raised her since she was born,bottle feeding her and loving her much. I witnessed her birth even! Anyway, when she hit 1 year old I started searching for a Male Aussie Stud to breed her to(detirmend to have at least one litter from her) I posted add after add on the internet,I made posters,I looked up breeders and e-mailed them,but to no avail. I am desperately looking at the moment for she will be coming into heat somewhere probably in the middle of June or sooner.l Tell me,do you thinks it's to late? Should I wait until her next heat?(which is in December) Or should I keep trying? Please I need your opinion. Thanx alot.
