Why do guys like long hair ?

Really? A lot of my friends and my dad actually prefer short hair. They think it looks better.

You should ditch that guy. If my hypothesis is correct, all he cares about is what's on the outside. I mean seriously, he won't see you if you cut your hair??? Whoever he is, he isn't such a good friend if he doesn't support your desisions.

You want to cut your hair? Just cut it. Do not keep it for others and for society, do what feels right for you. Why do they have the right to tell you how you should look? Plus, the thickness of the hair doesn't go away when you cut it. It gets thicker actually, and grows faster so if you want to grow it again it would be fine. I have really thick hair and it used to be long. I cut it recently. It makes my head feel lighter and it's much easier to manage. I like myself better this way as well. But then again I enjoy variety and might get bored of me later.Please, just go through with your desision. You'll feel bad if you don't and that way you can figure out who your true friends are. Those who accept you as who you are on the inside, or those who only want you to have long hair.

No, girls don't have to have long hair to be considered pretty. I know so many girls with short hair that are beautiful. And many with long that are not. Everyone has different tastes. It's what's inside that truly matters.

I see the answers above mine. It is true that before it was thought that the women must have long hair and the men short and that beleif is still kept by some. It is stupid though. Short hair doesn't make anyone less feminine. There are many people who actually look more femenine with short hair! It brings out their face.

Biologically, if a girl has a head of thick, glossy hair, it must mean that she has more than sufficient nutrients to supplement what is otherwise a pretty useless part of the body. And if you're healthy, it must mean that you're fertile! And the human race is all about reproduction!

For me, short. an individual see, hair like jared leto's appear too effortless and sometimes even oily. Shortcuts are more fun to enjoy with and some sttles look better on them.

Because its feminine and society says its more womanly and sexy. Men like to play in hair and it would be kind of hard to play in hair 2 inches long.

I love short hair, but not guy short hair. Short hair that comes down past your ears. Your not a man.

I have no idea but its so true! I guess its cus long hair is stereotypically 'femenine', and therefore considered more attractive than short hair on women.

Do what makes YOU happy and stop living for others. If this guy doesn't want to see you again if you cut your hair, so be it! HIS problem, not yours! Your true friends will stick by you whatever you decide!

relies upon on the lady, some women have been purely not at all ment to have short hair.. nor can they pull it off.. different can seem relatively spectacular with the superb kinda decrease of short hair :D

It's just biological that is all. Long hair symbolizes feminine.
