faulty central door locking solenoid on 2000 Ford Mondeo?
When i lock my doors they unlock again, i was told that it could be a faulty or sticking solenoid on one of the doors. how would i know which one is faulty and is there one located on every door? and could they be repaired?. and are they easy to get too.....
Sometimes it does lock but after a few hours it will unlock itself, in the mornings or when i first use it it will unlocked itself straight away and when i get to work it will lock ok, but when i get back in it to go home at the end of the day, it's unlocked....
I always use the romote which is apart of my cat1 alarm system but i have tried using the key too but it still does not lock.

In older cars the drivers door is the the master.
Newer cars "both front doors" operate central locking.
If the unlocks itself it means "one door" is not closed (or the push/switch hadn't pushed in).
Try every door open then close = does your internal light go on/off.
Does every door "manually lock" with the "button/lever"
Manually lock 3x doors then "central lock".
If then ok, Then try each door in turn to locate the faulty unit.
