Does reading Breaking Dawn ruin the series?

I was going to start Breaking Dawn in the Twilight series but some people said reading it ruins it! Should I keep reading and go on to Breaking Dawn?

Update:

Most answers are about skipping to Breaking Dawn! Ive already read the other books!!! Sorry for the misunderstanding!

PLEASE read Breaking Dawn, it´s not a great book but it´s good and besides you have to form your own criteria, don´t let people tell you what to do. And besides it´s the end of the series you can´t miss it by anything. READ IT! that way you can discuss your point of view with others, don´t let the series hanging...

Go ahead and read it, if you want to see what happens, but honestly I think it ruined the series (and I thought it was an average book even before I read Breaking Dawn).

No one important dies. Know it sounds terrible, but the reason why is because it has a "happy ending." Nothing bad happens, and that takes away the action. Bella didn't have to work for a damn thing, while lots of other books with happy ending went through long journies. This makes Breaking Dawn unrealistic. It spends a good half the book building up to the climax...and nothing happens. Read it to see for yourself.

  • I think the whole series sucked. It was probably one of the dumbest books I ever read. Yes Breaking Dawn does ruin the series just like the first 3.

you have to read the other books in the series before you read breaking dawn. Not only will it ruin the ending for you but you will be confused because you missed out on important things from the other books.

yeah. if you can;t be bothered reading them all then start and finish with breaking dawn. it explains a few things so you shouldn't be too lost. but don;t read the last book then go back to the beginning. breaking dawn totally ruins New Moon. actually, so does eclipse.

Meh. I think it's hard no to read the last installment of a series that you like, but if you're just made of steel like that you could try. On the other hand, even if you think it sucks, there's nothing stopping you from just pretending that it never happened. You could tell yourself that clearly this piece of crap was written by a fan-girl on the internet and then published as a joke (this will be easy after you've read BD).

No, I just ignore BD,to me it doesn't exist. When you read it look at it as being really crappy Fan Fiction, because that's exactly how it reads. For me Twilight will always be a trilogy, after that there's Fan Fiction. I really hated many aspects of BD, but I'm not going to let it ruin the story of me.

BTW, for some really good Fan Fiction go to http://www.twilighted.net/

I enjoyed Breaking first mild. As for Jacob imprinting on Renesmeee, I form of observed that coming whilst they have been conversing approximately how retaining he became into over her. It did no longer ask your self me however, it handed off to Quil... you've got study the different books interior the Twilight sequence previously analyzing Breaking first mild.
