You probably didn't go to "Save movie file". You need that to get your video to YouTube, it happened to me too xD.

    1. Go to File (in Windows Movie Maker)

    2. Then: Save Movie File

    3. Now follow the on screen instructions.

    4. Go back to YouTube and find your video in wherever you saved it in (possibly My Videos)

    5. And upload it, it should work now.

The reason why it probably didn't work previously is because you didn't save it into a movie type file, it could possibly be that. Good Luck, Happy New Year's 2009!

Ensure the file format is correct before uploading to youtube...

Using windows movie maker -- you have to save it into the proper file format, that is "wmv" file (use the "save movie file" on the menu at the top left) before upload..

The WMV file will be smaller in size but still quite good quality.. so uploading it will be faster.

    --for best editing....

use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)... it can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clip(e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/etc).... then save it as video file such as wmv file format... finally upload.

or .. Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces....

this will help you.... Use 'zillatube'. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.

Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.

It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mp3/mpg videos with windows movie maker... save your file as wmv and then upload.

It works very well....just google search for "zillatube"

Mine does the exact same thing!

You have to download a software to convert the type.

Example: if it is myfirstsmile.jpg and it doesn't work than you have to convert it so it is myfirstsmile.mp3 or whatever.

When you are trying to upload it there should be a help thing that you can click on and find out more about it. Hope this helps!

It is safe to upload and its safe to download too theres no way you could get a virus by downloading a video from you tube because when people upload them they cannot attach files to it

Did you publish the movie not just save it?

    You can publish by:

    File > Publish Movie

And that is the file you want to use.

If you did that it should work.

you're probably uploading the project that you saved and not the video

No idea. Contact YouTube, it may be a problem caused by them.

You have to publish the movie first, I had that problem before.

    PUBLISH THE MOVIE FIRST!!!
