Why did the Jesus and the God answer the Eagles prayers today, instead of my Cowboys? Why?

God wisely does not take side on football games and other athletic events. That is something to be settled by the men on the field. The Cowboys lost because the other team played better. That is it simple and true. For those upset, there is always next year.

He didn't;everybody prays before the game;God isn't a Eagle, Cowboy, Texan, Bear or oh my A Lion - they certainly needed help.

God had greater purposes in mind than whether my favorite team or yours wins a particular game. I am a middle school coach and athletic director, so I understand the passion to win. However, I am also a Christian and have come to see that God has bigger purposes in the lives of all involved or interested in a sports game.
If you dig back in the archives of Sports Illustrated about ten years ago, they ran an article entitled "Does God Care who wins the Super Bowl?"
The article opened the topic of whether God does really care or if He has better things to attend to.
God, because He is infinite, is able to oversee the details of the most heartbreaking headline stories as well as the events and results of sporting events and even the details of our everyday lives. He also answers prayers with a yes, a no or a wait. There is a purpose to whichever answer He gives your prayer request, and it all leads to what God knows to be best for us.

Terrel Owens doesn't deserve anyone's blessings. The Eagles were bright enough to dump his ***.

We shouldn't pray for one team to win over the another; though I think we all do. We should pray that out team plays to the best of their capability and that no one is hurt.
