Has anyone ever tried to turn a pair of jeans into maternity jeans?
If so, how? Adding elastic waste bands on the side?

4 AnswersPhotography10 years agoIf a man is looking for a long time partner, would he like her to be able to cook?
Obviously, this wouldn't be her only skill and I'm not implying all women should be skilled in the kitchen. However my brother and I were having this conversation. He said he would like a woman who knew how to cook because then it means she learned how to take care of herself before he came along. He is currently studying to be a doctor (throwing that in to let you know he's not some bum) and knows how to cook. So would a woman who knows how to cook be an indication that she knows how to take care of herself?

I know mine don't! They like to switch clothes too just to make it interesting.

13 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoAnyone have experience with a Nikkor AF-S 50 mm f/1.4 lens...?
I have a Nikon D60 with a standard 18-55mm kit lens and a 55-200mm lens. Looking for something faster, to shoot kids in low light, casual family gatherings and some senior portrait work. I've done a lot of research and this seems to be the one for me. Just wondering if you have it, are you happy with it? It's a pricey piece of glass.

5 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoMy 9-1/2 month old breast fed baby rarely eats solid food?
We offer, he nibbles here and there but for the most part doesn't show a whole lot of interest. With our first he had solids at 6 months so this is kind of throwing me off. Has anyone else had a baby who delayed solids?
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoBreastfeeding and he's a biter? Ouch!?
How can I discourage my 9 month old from biting while nursing? I pull him off and tell him no firmly but he laughs...little stinker. He's currently teething, too, so I wonder if this has something to do with it. Any ideas?
9 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoFor those who are married without children...?
Why did you choose not to have any? Bad childhood? Finances? Simply didn't want to? I understand that everyone has the right to choose whether or not they want children, this is simply out of curiosity. Yahoo ran a story about retiring early without kids and it sparked a debate amongst the people commenting.
It's only fair that I state my reasons for having them and it is because we felt like it was the natural thing to do. And as my husband always says, the world needs good people. So if you care to share, what made you and your husband decide to not havy any children? Thank you.
3 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoExclusively breastfeeding moms, when did you start your child on solids?
My youngest is almost 7 months and exclusively BF on demand, day and night. Lately he seems to be unsatisfied with just nursing, waking every 1-2 hours at night to nurse and nursing consistently through out the day, every 2 hours seems to be the average. My breasts seems to have a hard time keeping up! He gets upset while nursing, flailing around and pulling on my nipple with frustration. Could this be a sign he's ready for more?

4 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoOn and off postpartum bleeding? TMI...?
Had my son 2 months ago. I quit bleeding at 6 weeks. My husband and I resumed intercourse once and since then (7 days now) I have been bleeding again. Bright red blood. Has this happened to anyone?

7 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade ago5 week old has mucus in spit up and bowel movements?
It seems that every time I nurse my son, he spits up afterward and there is mucus in it. It also shows up in his bowel movements at least once a day. Anyone have this happen?
2 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoWhen did you feel comfortable nursing away from home?
My son is 3 weeks old and doing great with BF'ing. However, I can't bring myself to nurse in front of friends or visitors, let alone in public. I hate that I have to leave my living room like I am doing something wrong when we have company. At church I go in to the bathroom and nurse. I plan on covering up but I can't quite bring myself to do it amongst other people yet. Did anyone else feel this way? What made you get over it?
