If you can, give the kitty a few days to adjust. Buy a second potty box and put it where the old one was. Put the old one where you want it to be in its new location. Physically pick up the cat and put her in the box in the new location. She will probably look at you like you are nuts and walk away, but at least she will know that, oh, by the way, there is a litter box here. :) After a few days, if you see signs that the box in the new spot is being used, pack up the box in the old spot and call it good. Make sure to continue to use whatever litter you have been using so it's familiar.

Make sure you have completely clean the area the old box was in - use a black light to check for "oops" spots and clean them thoroughly. If the kitty still smells any potty in the old area, she might decide to visit it again for old times sake.

You could also put shelf liner (the sticky stuff that comes on a roll) sticky-side up over the area that the box was after it's been packed up to help curb any thoughts of returning to the area.

    Good luck!

I have moved the litter boxes many times and have never had a problem with the cats not finding it.

What I always do is clean it first (because for some reason a cat cannot resist a clean litter box) put it in it's new spot and find the cat and drop her/him in it. Even if the cat runs away-it knows where it is then. Good luck, but I know you won't have any problems, they are really smart animals.

Move the box to somewhere easily accessible to the cat. Then, hold the cat in the box and dig his paws around in the litter to "show" the cat that this is the new location for the box.

Show your cat where it is when you move it and it should be good.

We moved into a new apartment, and I couldn't decide where I wanted the litter box at first so it played musical chairs. Each time, I just carried them over to it, placed them down, and even though they just walked away, neither of mine have ever had an accident.

Getting him neutered will help plenty. If his nutrition & cat field are the two in the bathing room he's prob peeing and pooping everywhere because of the fact a cat won't consume nutrition while the cat field is in the comparable room vice versa. attempt that..

what Ruby said. I change it every now and then, and its what I do, I place my kitty in it and walk away. I've done several times with this kitty well hes like 6 months now but he knows where it is all the time. Their smarter than we think. I know this not only cause of this cat but I have always had one since I was little.

Just show the cat where it's new location is. They catch on pretty dern quick. That's always worked for me and my kitty.
