A "troll" in internet terms is a person who goes and annoys/harasses other people in forums/chatrooms etc. Usually get the banhammer in a couple days if a troll acts too nasty. Trolling is something some people do when they get bored. Trolls can range from slightly annoying to severely abusive hater. It's best to just ignore them,

Trolls are people who falsely do things on forums, comments, and places online. Some of their activities include

    1. Spamming

    2. Calling people names to inflame arguments

    3. Create false arguments that only inflame peoples emotions

    4. Saying nonsense that don't apply to the forum

    5. Reporting people falsely

    6. Creating lies and hatred on the net

Trolls ruin the conversation mostly and just disrupt the comments section.

Actually No, it does not intriuge me because even if the asker doesnt pick a best answer.. the voters will, and they will vote for who they think is best. To me its like 10 pts.. big deal... someone will get them, and we know every question someone WILL get 10 pts.. so why tell us!?!? lol

I think it means people who pretend something is happening but its really bs...

For example, somebody posts a question saying "I'm 11 years old and I don't have a phone, and we don't have a home phone, only my mom's cell phone. My dad is threatening to kill my mom and has a knife. He smashed my mom's phone. What should I do?!?!" That isn't necisarily a phony story but because its coming from me, and that is not happening to me, I just put it up there for the fun of it, I would be a troll.

I think another definition for a troll is answering a question just for points. For example, if all i said on this question was ANSWER MINE then added a link, or if i only said, thanks for the 2 points. or something like that.

Thats what I assumed it meant anyway!!

A "troll" is someone who asks a question to get a reaction, with the intent of stirring prejudice and/or hatred, not to learn anything.
