need a job but i was fired in the past?
i need a job when i turn 18 in 3 months but i was fired at my old job working at a golf course. long story short i was fired for stealing. I'm not 18 so is it possible that it didn't go on my record or could i say i have never had a job? i have had a little other work experience working as a handyman by myself. so i need some advise because i'm trying to get out and get a legit job.

If you are under 18, they can't look you up to see if you have had prior jobs. Lucky us. xD
Source(s): I was fired from Putt Putt. I learned this by myself though. - 1 decade ago
Of course you'd not want to tell the prospective employers that you had been fired on basis of theft etc. Its best if it is not on record.
You can dodge the question instead of lying.
You may really consider saying that you've never had had a job.You can try all of what you've mentioned.
In the long run, if you have been honest, the issue shouldn't be a hurdle.

Try volunteering with a view to paid employment later on. You will be amazed at how many people appreciate someone who will work for nothing in order to prove their worth.
My boyfriend has done this and had a fantastic job out of it.

In your case it may be on your record. Do a record check and be sure it's not on it before saying you never had a job.
