It is getting so long and over his ears. Just wondering.

Whenever you feel its necessary. Just be careful - babies are wiggly! I did my daughter's first trim at 7 months because it was too long and hanging in her face.

Technicall, you can cut it whenever you want.
Since it's so long, then i'd go and have it cut sometime soon.
