Do Christians get disappointed when they see other Christians cherry pick the bible?

Update:

For those that don't understand cherry pick is picking out only the good things and leave the bad things

Well, I turn the other cheek, but I'm still going to hell's fire and eternal damnation, because I just don't want to eat Jesus and drink blood like it says in John 6:50-59. See, when we take those words verbatim, how confusing it gets.

I don't judge other Christians that way. Cherry picking the Bible is not really an accurate picture of any Christian. Only Jesus can fulfil all the commandments of the Bible, no human being could possibly live up to the high standard of God. God sent His son into the world so that man could find the way to receive acceptance from God, through Christ. It is really only humans who call Christians to live totally perfect lives.

The bible (both New and Old Testaments) should be considered as a holistic whole.

    EXAMPLE:

God commands that a certain thing not be done. i.e. making "long [wordy] prayers". And then a little later He provides the Christian Church with the words for the "Our Father" prayer.

If you only read the first part that you wouldn't have the correct understanding, but only have part of the picture.

No, not many people understand the bible, but what we do understand that we can do, for how can we do what we do not understand?, at work when you send somebody to "go into the last room on the right and turn left and look up on your right and get the first can of nails from the left and bring it to me" and if the person cannot get it straight they may never come back from being lost in that room for quite a while, maybe until they finally understand or search for a while.

But what you are asking is why don't Christians do "as I understand the bible" meaning: you want them to do what you think they should do" but you don't even do them yourself you just think you know what it is they should do but don't even try to walk in their shoes, all you want to do is judge them as you are doing here and use them as your foot wipe to wipe your feet on them everywhere and anywhere you can.

People who worship the Father son and the holy ghost get sad when they see people worshiping the Father son and the BIBLE

its sad that they worship a book and not a living God.

Instead of using the bible as a lense to focus God they cant see past there book, SO when God reveals a new way of seeing things that are not in the book they worship they get upset and Call it CHERRY PICKING.OR when God reveals that a practice n the book is no longer moral.

That is Idolotry.Bible worship is a sad state Bible worshipers are usually the ones who kill in the name of God.

A living God that works and moves in the active church with people caring for creation each other and in a relationship with God using good books as lenses to focus God

Or a group of idoloters waiting and praying for the end judging all those who dont worship there book and condeming them to hell. If it isnt in the book its not usefull. WELL THAT IS A DEAD GOD a dusty god A IDOL

    ITs so very very sad.

Elaborate on the meaning of "cherry pick." Give us some examples of cherry picking so we can understand what you are speaking about.

    Cafeteria Style Buffet Christianity?

Well, it's not truth if one does so, it's just calling it they way they want it to be, not how it is, so it sounds like untruth which almost always eventually leads to unhappiness.

But generally speaking I have no problems with people who are spending time in their Bibles partaking of the word.

God may use it to blind some and let them call evil things good and good evil, but to His people, the Word is the source by which faith comes:

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." - Romans 10:17.

I for one get very disappointed when Christians pick and choose what they want to believe in the Bible. The Bible is either God's Word, or it is not. It can either be trusted or it can not. I for one choose to believe it is God's Word and as such can be trusted completely, and should be obeys.

No because those disappointed Christians do the same exact thing. They are all finding things in the Bible to confirm their procedures.

The only time I get disappointed is when I see that some Christian responses state that The Old Testament is irrelevant.
