why do people ask about serious medical questions?
Hey, if your in deep pain, something is bleeding, your having trouble breathing, why aren't you getting your butt to a hospital, instead of asking the community what could be wrong? Do you really think most of the people are going to know what's wrong? Yeah I wasted 5 points, but people get real.

I asked myself the same question, all the time. Even if they don't have insurance or money they can go to a free clinic, anything is better than here.

not everyone has access to healthcare services that they can afford. If you don't have insurance or much money, the community here might be able to give you the best answer. Y!A is built of members from all walks of life, including docs, nurses, and others that have personal experiences. Don't be so quick to judge. Now, if we (US) had universal healthcare like just about every other developed nation, then yes...get your butt to a hospital. Sadly, we don't so some rely on the kindness of our fello answerers for help! Same reason people come on here and ask advice about romance, depression, sex, etc. Would you tell them to just go see a counselor or psychologist? Try to be a bit more worldy in your views. Not everyone is like you and that's ok...

I agree with Andrew's answer. Also, sometimes people are just afraid what a doctor might tell them and have a phobia concerning doctors.
I also can see your point-of-view as well.
And lol - - sometimes good things are free to A Tease!!
