what about these names for my unborn twin girls?

I am 24 weeks pregnant with twin girls. For the past couple of days my husband and I can't decide on a name for the twins.

MY NAMES:

Victoria Kalise

Destiny Amari

HIS NAMES:

Kennedy Alexis

Ashley Dominique

I don't like the name Kennedy because it means ugly head. All the other names are ok but I'm not the crazy over them. If you all can come up with other names that we might like that will be great.

I really love Victoria Kalise and Destiny Amari. Both are beautiful and match at the same time.

    MEANING FOR VICTORIA:

    VICTORIA

    Gender: Feminine

Usage: English, Spanish, Romanian, Ancient Roman

    Pronounced: vik-TOR-ee-ə (English) [key]

Feminine form of VICTORIUS, though later it was regarded as coming directly from Latin victoria meaning "victory". It was borne by a 4th-century saint and martyr from North Africa. Though in use elsewhere in Europe, the name was very rare in the English-speaking world until the 19th century, when Queen Victoria began her long rule of Britain. She was named after her mother, who was of German royalty. Many geographic areas are named after the queen, including an Australian state and a Canadian city.

    MEANING FOR DESTINY:

    DESTINY

    Gender: Feminine

    Usage: English

    Pronounced: DES-tə-nee [key]

Means simply "destiny, fate" from the English word, ultimately from Latin destinare "to determine", a derivative of stare "to stand". It has been used as a given name in the English-speaking world only since the last half of the 20th century.

I really think Kennedy is a nice name, but it's meaning is awful, Kennedy literally means deformed head! Look it up! All the Ashley's I know have problems. Also they sund too cutsey with the 2 'y' endings.

    MEANING FOR KENNEDY:

    KENNEDY

    Gender: Feminine & Masculine

    Usage: English, Irish, Scottish

    Pronounced: KEN-ə-dee [key]

From the Gaelic name Cinnéidigh meaning "armoured head" or "misshapen head". The name is often given in honour of assassinated American president John F. Kennedy (1917-1963).

    MEANING FOR ASHLEY:

    ASHLEY

    Gender: Feminine & Masculine

    Usage: English

    Pronounced: ASH-lee [key]

From an English surname which was originally derived from a place name meaning "ash tree clearing" in Old English. Until the 1960s it was more commonly given to boys in the United States, but it is now most often used on girls.

    Good luck!

I LOVE Victoria and Kennedy. So it means something weird, who really cares about the meaning? Most people aren't going to know it anyway. I think its weird when people pick names just for the meaning, even if the names are awful.

Anyway, Victoria is very sophisticated and strong, and Tori for short is adorable. Kennedy is also very strong and would be cute for a little girl, but mature and professional when she grows up.

Ashley is WAY too common, and Destiny is a little cheap sounding.

    How about:

    Victoria Alexis and Ashleigh Kalise

I rearranged the choices a little bit so a compromise could be reached. I really like Victoria and Ashley out of your choices. Kennedy sounds a little masculine, and Destiny kind of sounds a little bit........trashy for lack of a better word. If you wanted to be a little more traditional you could just spell Ashley like that instead of Ashleigh. I hope I helped! Good luck with everything!

Destiny Amari and kennedy Alexis. You should each pick one and I really don't think people are going to run around calling your child ugly head.

Alexis sounds like a strong woman, so that's good! Ashley's nice too, though probably a little common - same as Victoria. Amari sounds exotic, and you would get 2 As!

I love Evangeline Sydney. Both names are gorgeous and flow really well together. Hayley Sofia is also a really cute name. Both the first names work together beautifully, which is important. "Haylee and Evangeline" has a nice ring to it. I love the idea of their middle names. Sydney and Sofia are not only place names, but they both sound similar (although not too similar) I like them :) Now to answer your other questions: None of the names are old fashioned. They all seem like timeless, classic names, but definitely not dated. I like the middle names you've got. Sydney is gorgeous and Sofia is cute (I prefer Sophia, but you're naming it after something.) Evangeline Calvert and Haylee Calvert sounds really cute.
