Help with ion ez vinyl converter please....?

I have a vinyl converter which, when I play records thru' my laptop sounds bl00dy awful-the songs skips and stick. However....after trying different records, uninstalling/re-installing software etc etc, I tried playing them thru' another stereo-and they play fine. I'm no computer genius so need help (in idiot's language) as to what the problem is....:0/

    Hi

    My son got me one for Christmas and its doing the same thing.

    If you look at the timer when it starts jumping you will see the timer stops and when the sound stops jumping the timer jumps forward a few seconds.

    This says to me its a software problem and not the record, as yet i dont have a fix but i am going to contact ION and see what they say.
