How is the generation gap destroying family life? Can anybody help me 2 write a debate for it, for d motion.?

I'm not sure which generation gap you're talking about, but certainly EVERY new generation does things that the older generation sees an unacceptable.

There are more personal listening devices now than any time in electronic history. A kid, or adult, can "get lost" easily in music or TV for hours on end. In the past, those hours were probably spent more with other family members. That closeness is declining.

Every generation has its clothing style. When I was a hippie in the late '60's, the long hair, beads, no bra, and no shoes was considered scandalous by my parents.

Now, it seems that in order to be hip, one must wear their jeans or pants down around the hips or lower. And showing underwear? That signals defiance in males and a "less than pure" female.

Those are just a few to get you going! How the debate goes well!

Generation gap is equal to communication gap.

This gap is between the old generation people & new one. As far as family life are concern its continuously decreasing. For example - "Family" word consist by 5 to 10 people living together. Now a days "Family" become short its only 3 to 5 members. its calls "short Family". Lastly Father is living else where...
