12/30/2008,Survey:Sarah Palin would make a wonderful American President. Agree or disagree?

On December 15, 2008, Sarah Palin proposed a 7 percent spending decrease in the operating and capital budgets for the next fiscal year, which begins July 1. This would save Alaska a lot of money, "It would provide a projected surplus of $388 million," See http://www.alaskajournal.com/stories/122108/hom_20... .

More importantly, Sarah Palin leads by example, she has turned down a $25,000 a year raise. "Gov. Sarah Palin says she didn't ask for a pay raise and won't accept one during her current term." "That's from her spokesman, Bill McAllister, who says he talked to the governor about the $25,000 raise that a new commission is recommending this week." See http://news.aol.com/political-machine/2008/12/26/s... .

This could be some of the reasons Americans has voted her the second most admired woman in the United States, behind Hillary Clinton but ahead of television host Oprah Winfrey." See http://www.adn.com/palin/story/635555.html . In addition, she is named "Conservative of the Year" by Human Events. See http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=29995 or http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=29994 .

To start I am an independent voter-I do not feel as though Mrs Palin would be fit for the job.Not because shes a woman but simply because of the things she said while running with McCain. Mrs Palin preached about family and moral values while her daughter was knocked up.She cared more about finding her son aid for his condition than helping every american with theirs. She makes her husband take care of the kids while shes off doing god knows what in alaska.I feel as though she may be good in the position she is in now but not ready to lead a nation with this many problems when she cant take care of her own issues. That being said I would have voted for hillary this year had she won the primary-their were no good independents or other runners I saw fit other than Mr Obama and Mrs Clinton. So as you can see its not because shes a woman its because her personal life would get in the way of her decisions.

I'm a Democrat-leaning independent male, and I don't personally think that Palin would make a good president, for two reasons -

1 Lack of knowledge concerning important issues - I don't personally have a problem with Palin's lack of experience at the national level; I don't think experience necessarily makes you qualified as president. I do think that Palin's lack of knowledge concerning national & world issues, along with the roles of our government and their responsibilities (i.e. what the vice-president's job is), is a big red flag to me. Of course, these things could change over time, and she could prove to be very knowledgeable about these things in the future...I can only assess her as she currently is.

    2) Social views and agenda - Palin is a neo-Conservative from the same mold as Bush & Rove, whose views I disagree with. To me, a true conservative means that the person is for less government, which would include keeping government out of people's personal choices. The idea of someone calling themselves conservative and then voting for laws to ban gay marriage is just crazy. Same thing goes for abortion (pro-life vs. pro-choice) and other social issues, as well. I don't like the "us vs. them" mentality that many neo-Cons have (or, as Palin put it, that some parts of the country are more "real" than others), so I wouldn't support someone with those views.

I'm a female who votes for the best candidate regardless of their party and I would NEVER vote for Palin. She disgusts me! No I don't think she'd make a good president, so what if she may be a good Governor. Nobody would think twice about her if the idiot McCain hadn't tried to use her to win the election. She's to religious, over confident in herself, under classed, and not smart enough to be president!

I am a male Libertarian (conservative). I don't think Palin has the experience nor the intelligence to serve as President. I fully admit she has been a good executive for Alaska, but compare that state's population to the nation's. It's really no comparison.

Disagree. AND "Why human beings have voted her the 2nd maximum favourite woman interior the U. S." is a crock of crap. united states of america of america did no longer %. her as McCains working mate, and the final public did no longer vote for her on election day. i think people who recognize her did no longer choose her as president, weren't sufficiently old to vote, or there particularly basically weren't that a lot of them. by using the way- if I have been misusing government money the way she is, i does no longer choose a develop the two.

Sarah Palin can't spell president. She needs to stay home and keep her daughter's legs closed and get Levi off the crack!

Not really if you are a middle class. It doesn't help much to any people who are not as rich as sarah palin.Or any other rich famous people. So it is a No. I like the republicans but some people ruins the names of the republicans. I'll move to Canada if she was elected.

Sarah Palin has more experience in gov't than Obama, more class than either obie or his mean wife, and she knows how many states there are,Obama thinks he's visited 57 of them .She'll most likely have my vote in 2012.
