Going into 92 if you had told me that Mir would beat Big Nog I would have said he has no chance of beating the Great White Ape. After his performance against Big Nog I would say he has a chance. Lesner was dominating in their first matchup and just got caught in a knee bar. He has probably been training bjj since then. I could see Mir winning if his conditioning improves even more. He seems very focused and we have yet to see Lesner beyond round 2. I hate both these guys but oh well. Go Mir!

Frank Mir still has the advantage going into the octagon. A big guy who possesses bantamweight submission skills, good on his back, a relax stand up, and a much developed fighter than Brock Lesnar. Though Lesnar is beginning to pick up the game, i still think that at this early stage of his career his body built can react to only one fighting style and that is jumping on guys and overwhelm them with his size and power. Brock Lesnar is not that yet intimidating skillwise (offensively and defensively) and that's where Frank Mir's abilities can get in. We all both know that Mir and Couture have different fighting styles. Lesnar is always a 90% winner if he will come across with fighters who are willing to stand up with him, and that's where Couture made his mistake, he readilly admitted that. He got too confident until he got caught. Beef, i know you know well what Mir is capable of. Having said that, what i love about this kind of sports is that a single punch can change the whole complexion of the fight, it could either knock you out cold or put you in a better position as the fight progress. No matter what Frank Mir have on paper Brock Lesnar can bin with power. Let's enjoy the fight Beef.

I do... I think Mir can win against Lesnar. I don't think he is going to destroy him but I think he as a better chance of winning this one. I look at it this way.
Cardio: Mir has gone 3 rounds and even though he doesn't look all tone like Lesnar he has the stamina to go 5 rounds. Lesnar was getting tired in the second against Couture. Striking: Lesnar has more power punches (he rolled Herring) and his striking accuracy is getting a lot better, however, Mir's striking isn't as powerful as Lesnar but his is much better at hitting his target.
Submission: Do I really need to explain this? Other than Nogueria, Mir is the best at submissions in the UFC's HW Division. I honestly think Mir will submit Lesnar again.
Experience: Mir has one thing that no other fighter has had against Lesnar... he has fought him before. He knows the strength and quickness that is coming his way. I think Mir will be ready and have a good game plan.
I give Power, Strength and Speed to Lesnar... hands down... he beats nearly everyone in the HW Division but I just think a good game plan and Mir becomes Champion.

I do not Mir is better on the stand up and is out standing on the ground meaning that Lesner would be out of his mind to take him down again. The only way I see him winning the fight is if He gets in a lucky punch and drops Mir.

Lesnar must forget sticking his leg in Mir's Face. He mus only use his hands. If he gets Mir down, he much punch and kick Mir's feet. If it looks like Mir might submit Lesnar then he must move quickly out. Other than that he/Brock will win.

Brock Lesnar will be UFC HWC he is hungry he is strong and his last fight he learn that he need stamina to be on UFC and if he lose there is nothing for him he can not go back to football and wrestling maybe acting, Mir is enjoying fame and playing too much video games if he realize what is coming he better go back to his gym and train like a champ. Lesnar will knock all comers.

I think that will be a fight that will be won by Brock IF he can keep it standing. I just don't think anyone in the HW division (with the exception of Shane Carwin) has the power to stand and trade with that guy. He put Mir down with one punch. He almost put Herring into the stands with one punch. He took the belt from Randy with one punch (yes, there were more, but it was the one on Randy's ear that turned the tide).
I think if this match ends up on the ground, then Mir is going to find a way to win. He's jiu jitsu is just too good. If it stays on their feet, Mir is going to get caught sooner or later and then its "lights out".

Yeah I dont see Mir beating lesnar because if he stands and trades with him hes gonna get KO'd like Randy did, because Lesnar doesnt even have to fully connect with a shot to knock someone out because of his massive size and strength. And Mir will have a hard time taking him down because of his wretling backround so its pretty much a lose- lose for Mir, i see him getting tko'd in the second round.

I still think that Brock is the "fresher" fighter and has a really good chance of beating Mir. Eventhough Mir's stand up looks phenomenal, Brock is very athletic and quick for his size--not to mention his power. My logic is simply this-IF BROCK BEAT CAPT. AMERICA, I think he has a REALLY good shot of beating anyone else in that division...

mir looked great against noguera. his stand up game was amazing. it is however not as good as lesnars stand up, i think if mir can just hang in there when there exchanging punches unlike the first bout between them he will win because theres no way brock can defend mirs submitions.
