After the Biore Pore strip?

So I used one sampler pore strip...it works great.

But I know the point is to tear off blackheads and dirt.

I can't believe that my pores will stay clean if i just peel the strip away.

What should i do after I take the pore strip off?

(like is it okay to moisturize, tone, etc...)

Thanks!

Wow, I'm really impressed with both answers before mine! Follow the advice...both are great!

    Here are some additional suggestions...

I would definately start off with rinising with super cold water immediately afterward to close the pores, just like the first answerer said. If you can afford to use filtrered water, use that instead...much healthier than tap water.

Also, BEFORE you use the strips, use very warm water and/or stand above steam for a while to get your pores good and open. And take the time to exfoliate with something all natural from home...no need for unnecessary chemicals on the skin. You can find all kinds of stuff for that online.

Keep in mind that the Biore' Pore Strips are not necessarily a "treatment" because no substance from the strips is actually staying on your skin and seaping into your pores. It's just kind of like a glue substance that pulls out blackheads and dirt and whut-not. So I think that using something afterward if you feel you need it would be alright. BUT, just in case, you should wait for about 20 minutes or so.

Again, with the all natrual stuff...I would say use a good homeade mask afterward would be great. This will really be a great final touch to close your pores and pull out any extra impurities that the pore strips may not have caught. Those things can get expensive, so I would suggest using them only in the areas that really need it...the areas that have the most blackheads and also where your pores are the largest, and a good mask should take care of the rest. An egg white or two is super cheap and great to use. An oatmeal/filtered water paste is good too. Just Google some homeade mask recipes.

Since all of this pore cleaning stuff may cause a bit of dryness to the face, you should finish the process with a mild moisturizer. Something that won't clog your pores, of course. Cetaphil facial moisturizer is the best on the market by far. And it is the number one dermatologist reccomended product for many, many skin problems. It's great for people with oily complextions or acne/blackhead problems, because most people who have those problems will use soemthing to dry out their skin, and Cetaphil won't clog your pores, it's hypoalergenic, and works wonders to balance out the moisture level of your face in general. It's very gentle and feels good on your skin. It's kind of pricey at Wal-Mart but lasts quite a while and totally worth the money.

One more thing...if you get the chance, please take the time to check out one of my previous answers from earlier. A girl had a question about acne and I told her about my previous skin problems and what I did about it. I think you will find that info very useful, it's not just about acne solutions, but skin problems in general. Unfortunately there is not enough room on here for me to paste it on here. The most important thing is to give your skin time to settle in between treatments. So long as you give your skin time to recover (about a minute after pulling the strip off) you should be fine. Toner is a good follow up, and moisturizing is always a good idea, but use a light one rather than one that is for especially dry/damaged skin.

Also using a mild cleanser before you use the strip will help get the deeper dirt out so you're not just pulling off surface dirt and oil.

Something that you might want to watch for is pore size increasing as you use the strips. I know it doesn't happen to everyone, but it was a big problem for me and it took a good bit of time to correct it fully.

    NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL

1/ Never, ever touch your face.

2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.

3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal

4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.

Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.

5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.

6/ Do this for 90 days.

7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a

nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.

The secret is never to touch the spots

Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

They help, but make sure that you use them while your skin is still wet after a hot shower. It opens your pores and makes the strips most effective. Also, I've found I break out if I don't wash all the gunk off my nose afterwords.
