The right short hairstyle for me.?

Question

I'm looking to cut my hair short.. I wore is short a few years ago and want to try it again.

I have a roundish face and thick curly hair. What do you think would be a good style for me.

I have no problem using a flat iron, but don't want to completely go without my curls, so I need something that will look good both ways.

I would look to celebrity bobs such as Nicole Richie and Jessica Simpson's for inspiration. Both these girls have bobs that look great curly or straight, and are flattering for many face types.

I'd recommend against going more than an inch above the shoulders, unless you are completely sure you want to go that short.
