It means you have to have a pure heart like a child in order to get to Heaven. Children are the ones that have the most uncorrupted faith because they just believe. They don't argue over faith or believing they just accept it.

You can refer to Matthew 18:3,4. Children are great at communicating, they ask questions..excited to learn, they're humble, loving, faithful because they love you, and willing to learn without being tainted by the world, they see what is before them even if they cannot see it directly...faith due to their understanding. As adults we lose this our vision distorted by what others tell us, mislead us.

Also a respectable child, well-behaved, is obedient to their parent who instructs them out of love and protection. Children are also underestimated as not being intelligent or worthy of the mature ear. Their voices not heard. It should not be this way, listen to your children the way Jesus listened to them when they spoke to him. There is much you can learn from children.
