The difference between xp and vista is this. Vista tries to have a brain, and xp uses your brain, now we will see how well xp works on this laptop...

I have a game Stalker Clear Sky that is outspokenly on the games website that it is so buggy that many cannot play it and or just will not play. I downloaded that game and the latest patch for the game. Crash after Crash from the games bug engine... I really did nothing else since I installed the game and patch, except defrag a couple of times since. I have watched Vista x64bit sit here and download 25 updates in the last month while I have been playing the game. I have looked at every download that has came in. Many are for my system and different parts of my computer. After 3 weeks of playing, going from crash after crash, the game now hasn't crashed one time in 2 weeks and I play many hours a week... XP would still be there biting the bug, rebooting to desktop as of now, not handy vista, it has totally worked my system to run that game totally stable and perfectly...

I am sorry to tell you, you are going to lose your DVD/CD burning programs and all your picture editing tools and many other programs you paid for when you bought your laptop, all because you wouldn't expand your ram to fit vista's true needs. You just deleted a perfect operating system for a piece of crap looking one...

It is sad to see that people cripple a brand new computer by downgrade the operating system. It is as stupid as buying a brand new car and ask the dealer to install your old used engine on this one. I have challenged all the downgrade maniacs in here to state just ONE problem with Vista and I will address it.None ever came back with an actual problem simply because there isn't any. They are just victims of the Vista sucks rumor, and so are you.

Put Vista back and remember this. There is nothing on Vista or any other operating system that can't be turned off, disabled, modified or even hacked to meet your needs. All you have to do is ASK.
