How to throw an axe into the town fountain in Animal Crossing : City Folk for Wii?

it's not a myth or a cheat, it's how they intended you to get it. first you just get a normal ax face the fountain from the bottom and swing like you would a tree. when you do so a npc comes out of the water. she will ask you something along the ways of did you throw a gold or silver ax into the fountain. say it was regular. then when she says something about honesty say "spot on" or something along that. for silver she says she's all out of golden axes how about a silver. you have to say yes PLEASE to get it do NOT say gimme. as far as watering can goes.. you need to have a perfect town for 15 days to get the gold one you can only bury another shovel to get a gold item.

Stand in front of the fountain while holding the axe and then press the A button. It will fly into the fountain and Serena will come up. You have to answer her questions correctly to get one. The difference is that a regular axe breaks after cutting down so many trees but a golden axe will not break.

I'm not sure how to throw an axe into the fountain but i know how to get a fountain. To do that donate 800,000 Bells to the town by talking to Pelly in the town hall and select donate. Don't worry though you don't have to pay 800,000 Bells all at once.

nope thats just a myth lol, what you do is you buy 2 axes and make a whole with your shovel in the ground ... then bury one of the axes and wait a whole day and then the next day when you dig it up it will be gold you can do this with the watering can and the shovel too... hope this helps !
