If you knew someone who couldn't afford the basic necessities, would you take an interest free loan from them?

Our government withholds taxes from our paychecks. This is, in effect, an interest free loan. They are taking "their" share of OUR money before we are able to use it for our own needs. Then we end up borrowing money at high interest rates(that is, in effect, another tax).

We should demand that they stop withholding taxes from our checks and allow us to take care of ourselves. Then they can get back to doing the things that the constitution gives them the power and the responsibility to do. Their obligations will cost alot less and they won't need to tax us as much.

Update:

David T, I'm not saying we shouldn't pay taxes, I'm saying the way we are being taxed is stupid. It is inefficient, and it is being used as a political toy by our "leaders" in Washington. If they were doing it right they would be able to perform their duties at a lower expense to the people. The more they take, the more we allow them to take over our lives. They need to look at what powers are given them by the constitution and stick to them. Leave the rest to the states and the people as per the tenth amendment.
