Israel and U.S alliance?
I live in the United States and I pay close attention to foreign affairs, I not only receive some information from U.S. based news media outlets, I also look to alternative sources, BBC, and other online news outlets. Since the news organization's have been monopolized by the 6 entities which control it, it has become difficult to find truthful information; most times, the reporting news agency is reporting in a manner in favor of its government, as you may already be aware.
Anyway, on to my question. The United States and Israel have been involved together for some time now. I, through tax dollars, see how Israel benefits from this relationship, but I do not see it as an equal partnership; where both sides benefit equally. For example, the efforts of U.S. and coalition forces in and around Iraq benefit Israel for its "security". Israel does not have any troops involved in this effort.
I am not trying to single out one specific moment of time, because I am sure I will get many things thrown at me related to a particular "event"; rather, collectively, is the effort provided by the Israeli government equal or close to the effort put in by the United States in this partnership?
It is evident that we made much sacrifices, including making many enemies in the effort of helping Israel, we even overlooked the U.N. resolutions at Israel.
Edg1: I expected some wild answer, I did not think I would get such a simple minded one like that. Sorry to go off like that but really?
Snowboarder: the U.S is not welcome in Iraq either, but were there
Mr bad touch: Saudia Arabia has the largest source of oil in the Middle East and they are our allies and 14 of the 9/11 hijackers were from there and we still are apparently cool. Business is something different from politics. Remember WWII, even though a treat attempted to stop dealings with hitler, they did occur
Kevin: Please do not make mention of God, especially comments like God's country. First, God, according to the bible, judges you on faith in him, not a country nor on good deeds. Second, gods country? what, does that mean anyone not from "gods country" is dammed?
John C; why did you answer? "they would be bombing you" what an ingnorant and biased anwer.
before someone tries to call me out on it, yes, i mistyped ignorant
Boomerang: "and bring a lot more hate against America, Israel, Jews, and the west as whole." Ah, but did you know that the majority, if not all, hatred toward America comes from its support for Israel.
Israel has built and established nuclear arms technology. Acording to the U.N., Israel was never given permission to do this.
Boomerang: your edit is what I wanted to bring out of someone.
With that said, how are we telling Iran they can not develop the technology?
If somoeone is going to reply with they are evil and will use them, please reference history, Iran has no history of being an aggressor

Lol, I am only laughing because I feel your pain.
Let us be real for a moment. When it comes down to it, I am sorry to say, the partnership with Israel does not bring anything good to the common American. Not one. It never has. Let me give this a shot...
First, it does not take a genius to figure out that in an age of nationalism at the end of the 19th century, allowing the foreign colonization of an area on top of a native population desperate for self-determination is only going to create conflict. That has not changed. We supported the plan blindly back then because we were arrogant, bigoted, and ignorant. What is our excuse now?
The democracy argument is awfully naive since we recognize democratic regimes at our whim, when it serves us we do, and when it does not we do not. Israel is a democracy but so would the rest of the Arab world if we actually allowed them to vote for who they wish. We do not give Egypt billions in aid to refurbish the pyramids. It goes to keep our man, Mubarak, in power. So much for promoting true democracy. In the first Iraqi vote after Saddams removal, our congress was considering not recognizing the winning party because the new Shia party did not want to recognize Israel. Finally, if Israel were such a great democracy it would have no need of a two state solution to ensure it remains a Jewish state demographically in the future.
The next argument is the war on terrorism. This is completely void of any logic as well. Israel is not a buffer preventing the Islamic fanatics from arriving on our shores. The fanatics we face are few and drive pick up trucks. Would it not make more sense to ally with the Arabs in order to fight terrorism properly!? How does supporting Israel help moderate Arabs see us as their friends? Quite the contrary, everytime Israel attacks with an Apache, F-16, or American provided weapon it is a reminder to the Arabs that as bad as those fanatics in their own countries are, America is still not to be trusted.
The last argument is the God and Christianity one. Since it is not a logical or reasonable point to argue for or against since it is not provable, it has no reason to be introduced in a debate.
One may say because of the Holocaust we have a moral duty to protect the Jews from it happening again, but according to the Zionist founders, they have always stated that the west would have to guarantee their safety in the Middle East. That was 40 years before the Holocaust. To make matters worse the whole concept of the Modern Israel was to escape persecution. Was Palestine the best place for that!?
As I have been writing this I have been wondering what positive has come about from this relationship for the US. Apart for the elites making money off of the perpetual war and weapons Israel buys off us (With our own tax dollars of course) I still cannot think of one positive component.

Israel should get over the Cold War mentality & it should be truly independent too. The US should stop interfering in whatever goes on in other countries. So please God, may this unholy alliance end.

Some US Christians think the USA will be blessed if we support the State of Israel. They have not realized that actually the USA has become more and more cursed since 1948. We are getting really bad, bad weather right now. We have more crime, more drugs, more divorces, financial collapse, factories and stores closing down. The true interpretation is: If you bless the righteous Christians or righteous Believers in God , you will be blessed. If you curse righteous Christians or righteous believers , you will be cursed. That is one reason when Ananias and his wife lied to Peter, they both fell dead before him!!! Also, the Christians are giving their inheritance due to them to the Jews. And the Jews are happy to take it. The Christians are doing like Esau, selling their inheritance for a bowl of porridge. And the Bible says God hated Esau for doing this.

Israel is the lightning-rod for the terrorists. They have to think closer to home first. If israel wasnt there these brainwashed cowardly scum would be over in the western world bombing YOU.
.. The west must support israel. No option. That is the front line.

Christ I got to give you a serious answer.... DAMIT!
Israel's existence destabilizes Arab powers by being a belligerent power in the Middle East made up of people who are not from nor sympathetic to people in the region. This destabilization prevents the Arabs from getting together and using their control of the world's oil supply to benefit them.
Imagine if the Arabs got together, imagine the power they would have. That is why Israel benefits the US government.

Considering area occupied by Israel ( in terms of area in square killometers), I have always wondered why did America or other large countries not offer large tract of vacant barren land to create Israel and why it had to be part of Arab territory.
As regards sacrifice, US has benefited from most of the conflicts around the world. Dear - do remember - it is US weapons that are used and may be the weapon manufacturers have made hay when the ....

Israel has it's own terrorists to deal with and cannot spare troops to help us right now. They are a help in the area as they are the only western style democracy there.
