Early pregancy and burning stomach pain?

I did a couple HPT and both were possitve. I got a doc appt. soon, but maybe someone can answer this for me.

I got this burning sensation in my stomach since a few days. It's all day long, but worst at night. I wake up several times because of it. It's a burning located in the center part of my stomach. Is that normal? Is it just my stomach stretching?

Probably heart burn. Heart burn is extremely prevalent among pregnant women. Try to eat a bland diet, and small meals. See if this helps. Also, you can take tums, or a similar calcium antacid.

I get the same thing when I'm pregnant. It's a bit worse than normal heart burn for me (runs in our family). I can't have anything acidic (includes tomatoes, and a lot of fruits - strawberries, citrus fruits) or I am throwing up all day. I also can't have any milk and have to drink soy milk because dairy stuff makes me produce more acid to digest it. With my first son, I was prescribed nexium about 15 weeks, but didn't take it regularly until about 20 weeks. Once I did though, it was the only thing that worked, as long as I took one every morning I was fine. Right now I am 10 weeks with my second, it's still pretty bad but has been a little better once I stopped drinking milk. The normal things that should help such as tums or prilosec doesn't work for me.

One more thing that seems to help is, eating ever 2 hours just to put a little something in your tummy to absorb extra acid. Try to drink plenty I recently started drinking different juices such as grape juice and peach juice. Oh, gum also helps sometimes because it promotes saliva which helps you swallow and helps keep the acid down. My doctor said saltines are good for doing that.

Hope this helps and you feel better soon.

Yea it sounds like heart burn to me too... You can take tums I believe when you are preggo... also try staying away form anything with acid.

It sounds like heart burn, which is totally normal in pregnancy.
