How do I delete songs off of the computer, but not from my Zune with version 3.0?
This is version 3.0, it DOES NOT have a manual sync option, if you tell me to turn on the manual sync I'll give you a bad rating.
All the other answers, thanks. :D

When you delete the songs, it gives you TWO choices*:
1) Delete the song from your computer AND your collection.
2) Keep the song in your collection, but delete it from your computer.
(If these options DON'T appear when you delete, you have to "Reset All Warnings" (or something worded like that - it could be "Prompts" instead)
Choose the 2nd one - and you're good to go ;);)

My brother gave a me his Zune last week, and I was also unsure what would happen when I first connected it to my computer, as I did not want to loose the music that he already synced to it. I installed the software that came with the Zune but upgraded to the version 3.0; it DOES have a manual sync option, I have it on mine; just go to "Settings" on the upper left hand side of the Zune software and click on "Device". You should see some tabs in the right hand side. Under "Sync Options", should be the first one, select "Manual Sync" on the right hand side of the window. Good Luck on getting that thing to work.
