If you are a cop, how was your first day on the job?

As far as I can recall, I drove with a training officer for sixteen weeks. My first day solo, I looked hard for traffic and anything else I could find.

It was exciting to be finally on the job, but you really feel like it's your first day at school and you realize how much you don't know and need to learn.

I remember siting in the cruiser and observing the senior officer and backing him up. Not talking or questioning, it was interesting and hard at the same time. Don't know really what to expect and act at certain situation, good luck!!!;)

I got shot the first day of my rookie career and was forced to retire=/

it was great!! i finally got the chance to be a little piggy! it was fun getting to use the skills i honed during training. who knew being an a**hole was such great fun. i understand now why people picked on me in high school. my duty is to protect and serve and i get to carry a gun and a big stick. protect and serve i will!!!! lookout society!!
