Hello NASCAR fans, I am watching NASCAR next season and need your help.?
I am very disappointed with the farce of a season Formula One had in 2008. With all those bloody FIA penalties and the pro-Ferrari crap against my McLaren team, I am still happy my man won.
NASCAR looks so much better. I also got NASCAR 09 for PS2! My sister bought me it for Christmas. I tell you what, I instantly like it and like the strategies and what not involved. I instaly began kicking butt in the game but ofcourse, it's hard in real life!
All my friends when I was in school were NASCAR fans and I know the sport generally. I have been to NASCAR.com and read all the NASCAR 101 information.
Jeff Gordon and Montoya are the only drivers I am familar with. But I know and respect and understand the legacy of the Earnhardt family as well. Then I know Carl Edwards as well. I am familar with all the 4 series within NASCAR.
Is there any other information you fans can give to me? I am a new fan of NASCAR! I live in Pennsylvania and I am planning to go to some races next season (if I can find the tickets!). I am very excited about NASCAR.
Thank you and have a wonderful happy new year!

congratulations on becoming a NASCAR fan.
alright here it goes. Jimmie Johnson has just tied Cale Yarbourough as only the second driver in NASCAR history to win 3 straight Cup titles. Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kyle Busch switched rides last year. KB went from the #5 to the #18 and Jr. went from the #8 to the #88. This year the offseason changes are biserk. Everyone is switching rides and joining new teams. There's really a lot to tell you about. go to jayski.com.

Im glad you are coming over to nascar. It sounds like your alset to start watching nascar. The only thing I think I can help you with is tickets. If I were you I would go to Dover. I live in CT and its a half day drive and its an awesome track. PA is a big state but if you live around Pocono its worth the drive from there. Pocono is an ok track but you cant see everything and the racing isnt as good. Good luck...GO TONY STEWART!

If you ever need to know about the past of our great sport....we are more than glad to help...I love and appreciate the past more than the current state of the sport. So with all of us combined...I think you will be able to get a good idea about NASCAR. So stay tuned and keep coming back every day to our little Nascar Nation....we'll get ya where ya need to be. Just an opinion as always.

Just watch and learn and keep an open mind. NASCAR has gone through a lot of changes lately and it's taking some time to iron things out.

This is the best info that I can give to a new Nascar fan, be a Matt Kenseth fan plain and simple, you wouldn't regret it. As for Carl Edwards being a punk, sorry but it isn't true, he just has a couple of issues going on with him and that's about it. He's basically the best of the best right now.

the general stuff:
If the #48 teams leaves Daytona without being caught cheating,Someone missed something.
If Smoke (Tony Stewart) has a bad race, Stay away lol
All Jr. fans thinks he is Gods gift to racing when in reality, he is at best a decent racer.
Everyone hates Kyle Busch because he wins alot and wrecked Jr.
Carl Edwards is a punk.
Kevin Harvick is a little crazy but fun to watch.
Jeff Gordon is a little boring because he only says what NASCAR wants to hear.
If Jeff Burton talks, Listen.
And pick your favorite driver because you like them not because they drive this or that or won a race.

Well, welcome! We are a very tight knit group here. Anything you need to know just ask. Seems like you have most of it down. As of right now there isnt much only because of the off season.
But as of right now what 88 Dominates said is correct.
Jimmie Johnson,#48, just won the championship and tied the great Cale Yarborough for championship wins, which is a great feat, they are the only two to have done it consecutively.
Other than that, there isnt much left to say because of the season being over, we are all counting down to Daytona, less than 50 days away!!!
