How can I access the hard drive from a dead computer to get the XP OS for a Mac Virtual Machine?
I have an external hard drive (if I can somehow use it)
I think it is a Seagate drive 80GB
was in a Dell Dimension 4300
I can't put it into my Mac-it is a sealed iMac.

You can buy an enclosure to make an internal drive into an external.
