A question for all the pro-choice people?

Do you think a live unborn fetus feels pain?

Update:

If you still think abortion is ok, shame on you! I hope you reconsider.

The pain receptors ARE active. The infant develops kidneys in a matter of days. Look it up. To lie to yourself that they do not feel pain just to excuse what you have done is crime of unspeakable proportions.

i KNOW a fetus doesn't feel pain when the majority of abortions occur. the thalamus and the cerebral cortex are necessary for pain to be felt, as well as pain receptors. these things are not developed or functioning until 24-26 weeks gestation. even if a fetus could feel pain earlier, it's a non-issue. late term abortions are RARE and usually either the fetus is euthanized OR the anesthesia given to the woman passes through the placenta and affects the fetus.

I want to make it clear to you that I AM pro choice.

    Yes, there is pain.

By around 3-4 wks, the brain is formed. Then, 7 wks, pain receptors are formed around the mouth, and the nerves carry it to the brain. Pain is felt all throughout the body at around 18 - 20 weeks, I think, around there.

Yes, I am pro-choice, so I am qualified to be answering this.

I am a pro-choice person who knows about my choices, though.

^Obviously not a pro-choice person, and thus renders his/her answer as void to this question.

I am sure one does, once it develops enough.
